Is this an interesting start to my story?

Sounds like a good start to me! I love how you took such a simple and over done idea and twisted it slightly to make it fun and dark. My only critique would be to set your priorities straight and to make sure your not skipping around when it comes to your intro. Would you rather introduce your setting first, and then make the characters come in, or the other way around? I had to read it twice through to understand some of the concepts fully. But it sounds like a great start to a good piece to me! If you would like to send me the final edition of the piece, that would be great!

Why do many write *drink* after the mention of Pascal's Wager?

The term "drink" indicates that the question being asked has been asked so often that it needs to be let go and go on to the next question. Kind of rude, but it gets the point across without getting in trouble with the community watch dogs... Now if they can just get over the fact that sometimes when a person is making a point they are not going against rules or trying to insult people, they are trying to tell the truth and get the point across.

Why do I only like girls who are uninterested in me, while I am not physically attracted to the ones who are?

OK so it seems that I have always been attracted to girls that either had no interest in me or only wanted to be friends. Meanwhile the girls who are CLEARLY attracted to me, I would rather remain friends with them because I don't have a physical attraction or felt an intimate connection. I turn 20 this year and have never had a true girlfriend. Are my standards too high? Have I possibly been deluded into aiming "out of my league" my whole life? Am I the only guy who has this problem? Should I just "settle" for what I can get, and hope feelings develop?

My mom needed me to rent a motel room for her because she didn't have an id or license, and the lights got shut off at her house because she didn't pay the bill. I would go across town to do that, which was about everyday for a week. She asked me to lie to the front desk and tell them it was just me and my brothers and sisters, she has 4 kids, her boy friend, + herself. So to get to the point, the kids are loud, and wouldn't listen, people complained, and the front office complained, they were close to throwing them put (note that this was all happening around 1:00 in the morning.) Right after that my sister wanted me to go the front office and pay them 5$ to turn the wifi on, and I told her not right now, it wasn't a good time, so she being spoiled, makes her faces, and everytime she dose my mom automatically becomes defencesive, so I tell her "fine I'll go pay the thing" and she was like "no forget it" and I said I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this" so then she swipes the money out of my hand, and says all this crap, ((any how they have both been mad about that for days))) is that normal? What would you have done?? I don't stay there

Where can I find a "Buddy Finder" for AIM?

I have the newest version of AIM installed on my computer. I saw that I have 49 buddies and 60 buddies have me on their buddy list. I want to find out who those 11 people are. I have looked online, but on aim.com they don't have anything. Please give me a website that I can go to.
